Né à Puisserguier dans l'Hérault, Joseph Lanet est mobilisé en août 1939 et fait prisonnier en Allemagne. Rapatrié sanitaire en 1941, il entre en contact avec la Résistance à Béziers par le biais de son ami Malafosse. Celui-ci le charge de créer et d'organiser dans son secteur l'Armée secrète du mouvement Combat. Il meurt en 1974 en laissant un manuscrit inachevé, qui sera dispersé à sa mort avant…
