Description The tranquility of the rainforest is shattered by 'Twentieth Century Highwaymen', who are destroying the trees for profit. Local wildlife, led by a rapping Toucan, decide to teach these profiteers a lesson, so with the promise of finding more treasure, they lead them on a perilous journey through the jungle. The lesson is that jungle treasure cannot be taken away. The list of parts is flexible to accommodate the number of available performers with fairly evenly distributed lines. There are approximately 30 acting/singing parts plus choruses of Animals, Birds and Humans. This environmental musical is suitable for cross-curricular topics and is particularly relevant to geography and science.
