But for anyone who has been playing regularly for a while, this is about the best trade-off between being easy to play and getting a full range of tones out of the clarinet.
I personally don't like reeds much harder than this because while they give better tones in the upper registers, I feel you lose a lot of the richness of the lower range of the clarinet.
