I have used this capo on my Martin and Taylor steel string acoustic guitars. It is easy to position with one hand and seems to put a proper amount of pressure so as to avoid string buzz, but not so much that it distorts the pitch (at least, no more than a Kyser would). I like that the grip handle points backward as opposed to the Kyser which points up. I always thought the Kyser upward pointing grip presented an unattractive visual profile for the audience. The xGuitarx x3 capo was less obtrusive visually from the audience point of view. I would have preferred if the grip had more rounded edges. I find these edges to be nearly square, which might be uncomfortable for some hands to squeeze. The capo back is shaped to fit snuggly on the back of the guitar neck when properly positioned. However, one unconventional thing I like to do is to position the capo so that it stops all but the low E string. When positioned on the second fret, this gives a drop-D kind of tuning (as is sometimes accomplished with a partial capo). I can do this more easily with other capos. The price was very good. I found it listed on Amazon for about half of the cost of competing capos.
