One note to those experiencing problems with the pins being too large and not fitting in their bridge. Don't use a luthier to bore out your bridge. You can't easily undo that. Instead hone down the pins with three sheets of sandpaper. One course, one medium, and one fine grit. Sand the lower part of the pins down (the part that goes into the bridge) with the course paper until they almost fit perfectly. Then use the finer sand papers to smooth the surface and customize the fit. It may take the dark color off the wood, but you never see that part of the pins anyway once they sit in the bridge.

The difference:
Other than they look nicer, if you're really attentive to your tone you'll notice that the sustain is much better, but also a warmer more natural sound.
Cons: The only con is the price could be a bit lower, but you're getting quality pins so it's worth shelling out the price.
Comparison: I don't have much to compare it to, but from my experience they're crafted better, and there's no imperfections like some might have. Overall get these before anything.
