I got these on the recommendation of Rick Beato on YouTube. He mentions them in one of his videos and in a 2022 Guitar World magazine interview if you are interested. Dunlop is a great brand and these are made in the USA if that is important to you. These are made of nylon and I found the .73mm thickness has the perfect amount of flex and rigidity for my playing. They do seem a little lighter than an equivalent celluloid pick. The main feature is the tread plate pattern of nubs that help keep the pick in place in your fingers. They do that perfectly and are not too tall or coarse that they are uncomfortable. These hold their playing edge for a long time. These are perfect for a beginner that is still learning to just hold on to the pick. I remember when I started out and the picks would twist and turn or drop completely. These are just as good for an advanced or pro guitarist as they let you really control the pick attack and angle. As Rick states in his interview about these, “The only ones I can hold onto anymore – probably because I’m an old guy”!The only negative is that there is some molding line flash on the ones I purchased at the wide end where they were injected and a little on the playing end (see photos). It's a little sharp on the wide end and a little sandpaper or knife can smooth this out. The flash on the tip wears in quickly so not really a concern. Give them a try! You can never have too many picks and these are pretty nice.
