From the manufacturer
American Classic 5B Nylon Drumsticks
Our classic 5B design but with a nylon tip for incredible clarity and articulation on cymbals. For the 5B player looking for a brighter sound and increased tip durability. Ideal for rock, band, and practice. Crafted from premium USA Hickory.
TRADITION AND VIC FIRTH STYLE
The American Classic line combines tradition and Vic Firth style. With bold designs, the Classics are turned from select hickory — a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also capable of withstanding a great deal of shock, making it highly durable. The tips are deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response.

The durability of these is what blows my mind. I play for at least an hour a few times a week, and I play Heavy Metal. These sticks can stand up to quite a bit of abuse before the even start to chip away, let alone break. A standard 3-pack of these sticks will last me several months before I need to buy more.
Comfort is the next thing that I love. These sticks don't give me calluses like some of the other brands that I've used before. Some would say that bad grip would be the cause, but my argument would be why do only some sticks give me calluses when I have the same grip across all of them? It's not the grip; it's the sticks themselves. Vic Firth uses high-quality materials, and it makes for a very comfortable stick. I love the nylon tips as well, as they aren't as rough on heads or cymbals as wooden tips are. Or at least, I don't think they are. I guess that's a matter of opinion.
All in all, if you're looking for a new brand of sticks, I definitely recommend giving these a try!
