Eduardo Toldra (1895-1962) was a Catalan virtuoso violinist conductor and composer whose students included Ros-Marb and Montsalvatge. His compositional work consists largely of songs folk dances operas and orchestral pieces; rather traditional in style it was initially dismissed as old-fashioned compared to many of his contemporaries.
