Product Description

The M1 is for players who love big acoustic tone with high feedback resistance on any stage. Combining the natural characteristics of your guitar's soundboard with a punchy string attack, the M1's body sensitive design provides enhanced realism while cutting through a loud mix. The M1 is a patented humbucking pickup with a twist. In a common stacked humbucker, the lower coil cancels hum, but doesn't contribute anything positive to the sound. We unlock the lower coil with a carefully tuned support that allows it to capture higher frequency resonances. As the pickup moves with the guitar's soundboard, a body signal is created in the suspended coil that adds presence and realism to your amplified sound.

Customers are mixed about the sound quality of the guitar pickup. Some mention that it has a great sound, and the tone is great. They say it picks up the resonance from the big round body. However, other customers say that it didn't sound anywhere near as natural as their old Fishman Rare Earth humbucker, and that it sounds too sharp. They also say that the high E string sounded very thin and that the tone was dull, woofy, and a little bit plinky.

"...I am very satisfied with the sound. It takes my small Martin 0015 and brings the volume up where it can be heard among fiddle and banjo...." Read more

"...My one issue is that it gives a ton of low end which can cause feedback in some venues. If you buy this be sure to use some sort of EQ with it...." Read more

Looks great sounds ok, Seymour Duncan sounds better

Looks great sounds ok, Seymour Duncan sounds better
I’ve been using my Seymour Duncan humbucker for a while but I wanted something permanently installed, unfortunately the sound quality it not to my liking. The LR pickup sounds too sharp, I like the warmer tone of the Duncan. I plan on permanently mounting the Duncan pickup.

Box/EQ).
Aber, mal ganz ehrlich: wer spielt schon live out of the Box? ;-)
