The GC1CE is a great-looking acoustic-electric classical guitar that provides rich nylon-string sound and performance features such as a Venetian-style cutaway and Takamine electronics system. An excellent choice for any player seeking an affordable acoustic-electric classical guitar that performs well above its price tag, the GC1CE features a fan-braced select spruce top and mahogany back and sides for a full and balanced sound. The comfortable mahogany neck rosewood fingerboard provide great feel and playability, while the onboard Takamine TP-E preamp system gives you a built-in tuner with volume and tone controls and a mid-cut switch for excellent amplified performance.

May be the their philosophy is to set the action so high that fret buzz doesn't occur, what does "this guy" (me) know about it.
Nice sound, (apart from a strange too high resonance when the open 4th string played), but high action causes noticeable difficulty at the higher numbered frets. Of ALL the different types of guitar, low action is the MOST important for CLASSICAL guitars.
MIGHT be adjustable OK, but the fact that the action is significantly outside of Takamine factory specs is suspicious. So I'm not messing with it. It's going back.
Hmmm, And I think I saw something that if the shipment was eligible for free shipping (it was) that I have to pay for the original shipping?
